General Questions

I want to translate number to words

This section of our web site is about translating letters to phone numbers. If you want to go the other way, then use our phone number word search.

Do I really need a web site to do this?

No, we just set this up for your convenience. All you need is a pen, paper, and a table showing how the letters are mapped to numbers. Actually, all you really need is a phone key pad or dial. If you practice often enough, you may even be able to do it all in your head.

Why do I need to specify a phone key pad?

Not everybody's phone has the letters in the same places. There are many different types of phone key pads. In order to translate from letter to number, we therefore need to know the type of phone keypad you want to use.

Software

Where can I download software for this?

Many types of telecom and phone related software packages have this functionality built in.

We will be posting links here at some point. If you know of any software packages to do this, please let us know.
