Finding Words
Finding words in phone numbers is not hard. Finding all
possible words in phone numbers is somewhat harder, and
you probably want to use a computer for that. Finding
all possible words in a phone number and presenting the
results of that search efficiently is somewhat tricky.
This is essentially how it works:

First, our software looks at the search options you
selected and makes some educated guesses for those
options you did not specify.

Any letters in phone number you entered are converted
to numbers based on the selected phone keypad. Any
spaces and punctuation marks are removed.

The requested word lists are searched to see what
words are in the phone number. The requested phone
key pad determines how numbers are matched with
letters.

The words found in the phone number are sorted by
what position they appear in, grouped, and arranged
so that they can be presented in the simplest
possible table.

Our web site software makes up a web page which
contains that table showing all the possible words
for that number.
There are many different ways in which the same information
can be presented. This is only one of them. In future, we
may offer some other formats as well.
